My Google-Fu might be out, but I suspect that this image is of this place.
Maybe.
Being a construction of your humble blogger Tepid Halibut, with the aim of posting one vintage slide image per day, from now until Kingdom Come. (Or until Mr Halibut gets bored.)
There's quite a few pictures of this pool, in various states of empty/fullness.
This one ... is today's.
Sorry, I'm not very talkative today - Overnight, my right know seems to have decided to experience extreme pain for any motions.
Bonus - Remember - There was no CGI 81 years ago...
One of the delights of this here slide-collecting lark is finding images like this. Just a quick captured moment in a life.
What a great image.

This slide from 1964 had a note on it "Me in Waterlow Park".
Not me, as in this blogger, obviously.
This girl certainly looks "beat", so I'm guessing she had a suitably fitting name - Flip or Kath, or Mizzy.
Nice.

An escarpment is a steep slope or long cliff that forms as a result of faulting or erosion and separates two relatively level areas having different elevations.
The terms scarp and scarp face are often used interchangeably with escarpment. Some sources differentiate the two terms, with escarpment referring to the margin between two landforms, and scarp referring to a cliff or a steep slope. In this usage an escarpment is a ridge which has a gentle slope on one side and a steep scarp on the other side.

It's been a while since the last "School Holiday At Easter" slide, so here's one from 51 years ago. The Easter 1973 Trip to Ibiza."
However, this one looks more like the pre departure, pale skin version of Thora and Margaret.
I've never yet figured out which school it was - so if you recognise any of these girls...please get in touch.

Some lovely girls on a school trip to the Dove Valley, back in 1970. Whether it was for a geography project, or just as a day out .... who know?
In response to very nearly one comment, yesterday's meal out at Seven was fine. Good food, but a bit noisy for an old fart like me, and a PITA prepubescent waiter who had a sky high opinion of themselves.
Bonus - Security...
Yup, this evening is a meal with the gang. Great.
This image above is NOT an image of us, for so many logical reasons, but I know that the blog followers like to see a vaguely relevant image.

The lad? I'm calling him Simon. He looks like a Simon.
The Locomotive - No info on the slide, but it only took seconds to identify this as 46115 Scots Guardsman (LMS 6115 & BR 46115).
The sky - grey and lifeless.

or "How we used to play."
Yes, play was a lot more fun in the days before Sonic The Bandicoot, or whatever.
